New scenes of chaos broke out on the sidelines of a French club football match. Late in the evening from Monday November 6 to Tuesday November 7, Parisian supporters were attacked by AC Milan Ultras, on the eve of the Champions League match between the two clubs. Franceinfo: sport has obtained confirmation of an ambush in which Parisian fans were trapped. One of the supporters is “Severly injured” after being stabbed, Italian police said on Tuesday.
It was around midnight when a contingent of Milanese Ultras – around a hundred according to the Lombard newspaper, the Corriere della Sera – charged PSG supporters. These hooded supporters, all dressed in black, as was confirmed to franceinfo: sport, attacked the Parisians, armed with baseball bats, iron bars, mortar, smoke bombs, and sharp objects like bottles of glass. During the clashes, a PSG supporter received “two stab wounds in the leg” and was transported to hospital, specifies the press release from the transalpine police.
The Ultras Rossoneri took advantage of the late hours in streets with many bars and restaurants to carry out their attack. On the night of September 18 to 19, a Newcastle supporter had already been injured with a stab, before the Milan club’s first home match in the Champions League, without his life being in danger. Incidents also broke out between Parisian and Milan supporters in the stands of the Parc des Princes during the first leg, on October 25.
