Paris opens its 16th participation in C1. Paris Saint-Germain hosts Borussia Dortmund at the Parc des Princes for their first match of the 2023-2024 Champions League, Tuesday September 19 at 9 p.m. Defeated at home on Friday by Nice (2-3), the Parisians and their new coach, Luis Enrique, are already under pressure as they launch a delicate group phase. Before AC Milan and Newcastle, it’s already a big game facing them.
Borussia is still undefeated in the Bundesliga and is coming off a victory against Freiburg (4-2). But the German vice-champions seem much less inspired than last season on the field. BVB are seventh in the standings after only picking up 8 points in four games against teams expected to be in the middle or bottom of the table. The Parisians are therefore in the shoes of the favorite.
