PSG crack Saint-Etienne but lose Neymar

In the cold of Saint-Etienne, and sometimes in the snow, Paris Saint-Germain won, Sunday, November 28, at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium (1-3). While the Greens opened the scoring thanks to Denis Bouanga, Marquinhos deceived a previously imperial Etienne Green to equalize. Outnumbered following the expulsion of Timothée Kolodziejczak, the Stéphanois suffered during the second period before cracking. If the three pocketed points are good news for the Parisians, they however lost Neymar, who twisted his ankle and came out, in tears, on a stretcher.

For the first minutes of Sergio Ramos, holder, under the Parisian colors, Paris Saint-Germain reports a laborious victory for Forez. The Spaniard was often called upon on the blocks led by the Greens, who showed a conquering face during the first period and even led a time but the red card sent to Kolodziejczak just before half-time marked a turning point in the match.

On the free kick that followed the expulsion of the Stéphanois, Marquinhos, served by Lionel Messi, equalized with the head, while Etienne Green had until then delayed the deadline. The goalkeeper of the Greens has saved his people several times with decisive interventions in front of Kylian Mbappé and Neymar in particular, but, patiently, the Parisians waited until the end of the meeting to deceive him again, with the achievements of Angel Di Maria (79th ) and their captain, author of a double (90th + 1).

After his first goal in Ligue 1 last weekend against Nantes, Messi is making his mark in the French championship. The Argentinian has often stumbled over a solidary defense of Saint-Etienne, but created many chances for his teammates. He is notably the author of the three assists on the three Parisian goals.

The only downside for PSG, which consolidates its leadership position: the injury of Neymar, who came out in tears on a stretcher at the end of the match. The Brazilian twisted his ankle while stepping on that of Yvann Maçon and his trainer, Mauricio Pochettino, was not reassuring after the meeting at the microphone of Prime Video: “The images are impressive, we are concerned”. For their part, the Stéphanois fall back to last place in the standings.
