The Parisian handball players have established their national domination a little more by winning an eighth consecutive title of champion of France, thanks to their victory against Montpellier at home (37-33), Friday May 6, five days from the end of the Starligue. With eleven points ahead, and only ten points remaining to distribute until the end of the season, Paris can no longer be joined by Nantes, winner in Limoges (31-23). PSG thus won its ninth league title, the first dating back to 2013, the other eight in a row from 2015 to 2022.

This season more than ever, the Parisians have dominated their subject, inflicting correction after correction on their opponents. Only Nantes and Montpellier were able to hook Raul Gonzalez’s players a little, without bringing down the Parisian house. For the end of the Starligue season, a more symbolic challenge awaits Luka Karabatic’s teammates: to finish the season with only victories, an unprecedented performance in the French championship. They have thus signed 25 successes in 25 games.

After this hexagonal coronation, the Parisians will now concentrate all their forces in the fight for a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League, with a more than complicated duel next Wednesday against Kiel in the quarter-finals, with a return match in the northern Germany.
