The Montreal station of Cogeco, 98.5 FM, announced the resignation of its host Friday morning.

Bernard Drainville was a member of the Parti Québécois from 2007 to 2016. He was a minister under the Marois government from 2012 to 2014, carrying out, among other things, the file of the Charter of Values.

Residing in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures in the Quebec City region, Bernard Drainville will present himself in Lévis. The CAQ MP for this constituency, François Paradis, President of the National Assembly, will announce on Friday that he is leaving politics.

In 2018, the former TV host won with 57% of the vote and a strong majority of 14,500 votes.
