“Proven”, the columnist of C à vous, Mohamed Bouhafsi, makes a heartbreaking announcement off-air!

If the world is affected by what is happening in Morocco, some feel much more emotion than others. The proof, with the chronicler of C to you, Mohamed Bouhafsisent special by France 5 to cover the tragedy that occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday after the earthquake which struck the country. The chronicler of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine has in fact relayed very difficult images this Monday, September 11, 2023, showing the situation in the country, in particular Moroccans who sleep on the ground in front of the Mohamed VI hospital while waiting for news from their loved ones.

Subsequently, a young Moroccan woman appeared on screen to indicate that the roads had been blocked since the earthquake struck the country. The roads are in fact overwhelmed by ambulances. Later, it was a father, who tragically lost his wife and two daughters following the 6.8 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale, who Mohamed Bouhafsi managed to question. The journalist from France 5finally headed towards a “village in the mountains” which deplores 100 deaths out of 400 inhabitants. A village “wiped off the map”according to him, where only chaos and desolation reign.

Mohamed Bouhafsi touched by the tragedy hitting Morocco

The victims of this village, located 1h30 from Marrakech, were waiting for the army which never came. Since the tragedy, residents have tried alone to clear the rubble and find certain members of their family, sometimes without success. A 4-minute report broadcast on France 5 during which Mohamed Bouhafsi knew how to maintain his professionalism and was not once overwhelmed by emotion.

However, the truth is quite different. When the journalist shared the footage of C to you on his own Twitter account, he was candid and revealed: “The most emotionally taxing report of my life”. A difficult moment experienced by the chronicler of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, which he, like the people who populate this planet, does not wish to ever have to experience again.
