Yann, this morning, you are proud of a blogger from Touraine who is an expert in wine and good food…
Yes Nicolas, today I would like to give you the portrait and career of Mathilde Lefebvre, a Tourangelle in her time.
Its story begins with those famous extended family lunches, you know the ones that start at noon but you never know when they will end, sometimes 4 p.m., other times 7 p.m. Lunches in which you eat charcuterie , large meats, gargantuan desserts, then we squat the sofa to try to digest and the nap takes us on board.. Around 4/5 years old, she makes her first chocolate cake, which she will impose on her grandfather each time she may. As a child, she wanted to be a chef!
But the story will not go as planned?
Barely, but you will see that it will not discourage our curious nature. Her family will explain to her the realities of life in the restaurant industry and after reflection, she will move on to something else entirely. First a BAC Science and Laboratory Techniques and biochemistry in Tours, followed by a BTS Viticulture-Oenology in Macon then in Saumur which comes to meet his needs for knowledge in the wine field and join his love of the table. The following year, she worked at ORLY airport as a wine expert, before leaving for Bordeaux for 2 years, a region that was missing from her palette. She returns to Tours to complete her studies with a BAC+3 in wine marketing. All she needed was to go abroad, never mind, at the age of 25 she took a plane to work in the vineyards of Canada.
Sacred school career … and now where is it?
Back in Touraine in 2019, finding only structures that were too small, she decided to set up on her own as a freelancer to carry out replacements in advice and tastings, as at Charles Joguet in Chinon in 2020. As a wine specialist, she It’s only natural that she finds herself eating on the beautiful Tourangelle tables. And it was during a meal at L’Evidence in Montbazon with chef Gaetan Evrard that she wrote what she felt when tasting her lunch menu. She does not write a gastronomic review, but shares the emotions that the dishes that are served to her give her. She will then write for the Cézame guide, seeking to answer the question: what does “C’est Bon!” mean? ”? It’s decided, she starts a blog to share all this with the public, on a website and on her networks. It was Philippe Foreau from Clos Naudin, with whom she worked in Vouvray, who gave her the name of her blog: Bouille de Gourmande! On the media side, she made a few appearances on Alain Joly’s program on our antenna, and since 2021, she has been offered to replace Périco Légasse to host “La Bonne Etape” on TVTours, of which she is starting her 2nd season. This year.
In any case, on France Bleu Touraine, we are very proud of Mathilde, Bouille de Gourmande!
