Pro-Palestinian demonstrators are currently occupying the main administration building at McGill University.
The institution says protesters set up a barricade outside the building.
The City of Montreal Police Department confirms having been called to the scene. Indeed, members of the riot squad are on site.
According to spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier, police forces are still assessing the situation and will not intervene for the moment.
