Product recall: presence of almonds in cevapcici veggie croquettes

Viana brand cevapcici veggie croquettes are being recalled due to the undeclared presence on the label of almonds, which represent an allergen (nut).

The recalled product was sold in Quebec, as well as British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories, according to a statement released Friday by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The recalled product is of the brand Viana, sold by the company Tofutown North America, Inc. The food contains an allergen (almonds) not declared on the label.
Veggie kibble 200g, UPC: 878397004068, codes: 31/3/23.

The CFIA advises the public to check if you have products affected by the recall, and of course asks not to consume the affected product if you are affected by any sensitivity or allergy to the allergen concerned.
Recalled products should not be used, sold, served or distributed. These products should also be discarded or returned to the place of purchase, the CFIA said.

This recall is the result of testing conducted by the CFIA, and there have been no reports of reactions related to the consumption of the recalled product.
