After the United States, the war in Gaza is now igniting the Science Po campus in Paris and other cities. Dozens of students blocked access to the sites and hung Palestinian flags from the windows. The police could intervene again.

Slogans and flags of Palestine are hung on the walls of Science Po, in Paris (Île-de-France). Pro-Palestinian activists spent the night in the historic building of the Institute of Political Studies in the 7th district. Friday April 26, they are still present, and still blocking access to their school.

Protest against the bombings

Those inside are supplied with shopping bags hoisted at arm’s length. They are protesting against the bombings in Gaza, and demanding the end of partnerships between Science Po and Israeli universities, otherwise they will not lift their blockade, they say, even if it means revising their exams while sitting on the sidewalk. On Wednesday April 24, a first demonstration was evacuated by the police. In the United States, on many campuses, students protest night and day against the American government’s support for the State of Israel.
