Hateful graffiti was made on the night of Thursday to Friday in front of the personal residence of a senior manager of McGill University, just a few days after the Superior Court of Quebec ruled in favor of the establishment in its request for temporary injunction against pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
“Fabrice Labeau – Fuck your injunction», We can read in large red and white letters on the asphalt in front of Mr. Labeau’s residence, in the Longueuil region.

We intentionally failed to say on which street the incident occurred for reasons of safety for Mr. Labeau, who has been the target of numerous threats and acts of intimidation in recent months .
According to our information, several other members of the senior management of the prestigious university suffered the same fate.
Some of them even had to be escorted by police officers during their travels because their safety was threatened.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have also published videos on social networks recently, where they can be seen demonstrating in front of the personal residences of members of the McGill University administration.
The most recent disturbing event occurred on Friday night, in front of the residence of McGill’s vice-rector for administration and finance, Fabrice Labeau, who lives in a peaceful residential area.

Besides the message Fuck your injunctionthe criminals also painted the portrait of Mr. Labeau on the ground.
The police were notified of the event on Friday morning. An investigation was immediately launched and crime scene technicians attended the scene during the morning to try to collect evidence.
Police also went door to door in the neighborhood to try to find people who might have seen the vandals in action.
“McGill condemns this absolutely unacceptable behavior. Targeting people and their families in their residences means moving from peaceful protest to intimidation and harassment,” the university responded by email Friday afternoon.
Anyone with information that could allow the police to catch the perpetrator(s) of these misdeeds is invited to contact the Info-Azimut line of the Longueuil police, 450 646-8500.

Recall that in a judgment rendered Tuesday, the court granted McGill University a 10-day injunction prohibiting members of the group Students for Palestine’s Honor and Resistance (SPHR) from blocking or reducing access to the university, in part or entirely.
On April 27, pro-Palestinian demonstrators established a camp on the university grounds and turned it into a veritable castle as the weeks passed.
On numerous occasions, McGill management had gone to court to expel them, but without success.
The encampment was finally dismantled on July 10.
