Manuel Bompard, deputy La France insoumise of Bouches-du-Rhône, was the guest of “8h30 franceinfo”, monday 22 August 2022. Private jets, Fresnes prison karting, purchasing power… He answers questions from Céline Asselot and Jean-François Achilli.
Private jets: Bompard denounces the “indecency” of the “ultra-rich”
“I am not opposed to thinking about forms of banning these private jets” in front of “climate emergency”believes Manuel Bompard, while the Minister Delegate for Transport Clément Beaune said he was thinking about regulating private jet flights. “I think it is the very future of private jets that is in question”adds the rebellious deputy who sees a “form of indecency” in their use at the time “where the whole population is asked to make an effort”.
Karting at Fresnes prison: a “rather inhuman controversy”
“What particularly shocks me is that the Keeper of the Seals has nothing better to do than jump rope at the controversies launched by the far right”, estimated Manuel Bompard in reaction to the controversy which follows the organization within the prison of Fresnes (Val-de-Marne) of filmed events inspired by the program “Koh-Lanta” for the benefit of associations, including a karting event. “This controversy is in my opinion quite absurd and inhuman”, according to the deputy. The Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti, has “ordered an investigation” administration on the subject.
Purchasing power: Bompard plans social mobilizations from September
“I think there will be mobilizations in our country”estimated the deputy La France insoumise, when he was questioned on the possibility that the strikes against inflation and for the rise in wages, in the United Kingdom, make oil stain in France. “Obviously we will support them”he added, recalling that there are already “a date on September 29”. The CGT and Solidaires unions are indeed calling for “a day of interprofessional strike” that day, to demand wage increases.
