Princess Kate sees “good progress” in her cancer treatment and announces her next official appearance on Saturday

Princess Kate will participate in the birthday parade of the King of England, Charles III, on Saturday June 15. In a long message posted on social networks, Princess Kate announced the date of her first official appearance since Christmas. Putting an end to speculation about her absence from the public sphere, the wife of the heir to the British crown, Prince William, announced in a video on March 22 that she was suffering from cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.

“I’m looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to take part in a few public engagements over the summer, but I also know I’m not through yet of my sorrows”, wrote the 42-year-old princess, who had hardly expressed herself in recent months on social networks, except to publish messages on the occasion of these children’s birthdays.

As for the king, currently also being treated for cancer, he officially celebrates his birthday on the occasion of the military celebration called “trooping the color” which will be held this year on Saturday. And this despite the fact that he was born on November 14, in 1948.

“I am learning to be patient, especially in the face of uncertainty,” continued Kate, giving an update on her state of health. “I’m making good progress, but as anyone who undergoes chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days”she wrote, adding that her “treatment is ongoing and will last a few more months.”
