Princess Kate Middleton, who announced at the end of March that she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy for cancer, announced on Monday September 9 that she had completed this treatment in a message published on social networks.

“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to finally be done with my chemotherapy treatment.”explained the Princess of Wales in this message, referring to nine months “extremely hard” for her and her family. “My road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes”she wrote, sharing her “looking forward to getting back to work”.

Her last public appearance was in early July at Wimbledon, where she presented the trophy to the winner of the tennis tournament, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. There again, she was applauded at length.

In her message on Monday, the princess shared her “acknowledgement” for all the support she has received. “The kindness, empathy and compassion of everyone was truly humbling.”she said. Kate Middleton concluded with a word for the people “who are continuing their own journey against cancer”. “I stand with you, side by side, hand in hand. From darkness can come light, so let that light shine.”she said.
