Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, and her husband, Prince William, were “hugely touched” by the many messages of support they received after the princess announced she had cancer.

“The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from here in the United Kingdom, from the Commonwealth and from around the world in response to Her Majesty’s message,” said a spokesperson for the Kensington Palace.
“They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and very grateful for the public’s understanding of their request for respect for their privacy,” it added.
In a video message broadcast on Friday, the 42-year-old princess announced that she had cancer, ending several months of speculation about her state of health and creating shock waves across the world.
