Princes William and Harry reunited in mourning at Windsor

The image surprised everyone: that of two brothers who put aside their differences, united in pain. On the afternoon of Saturday September 10, on the promenade of Windsor Castle (United Kingdom), Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, joined William and Kate, the new Prince and Princess of Wales, for a walkabout of 45 minutes. “It was wonderful. The image recalls the death of their mother, Lady Diana, in 1997. At the opposite of their last appearances, during the platinum jubilee in the spring, where the two brothers had taken care not to be seen together. They have been notoriously cold for more than two years, following a series of allegations made by Harry and Meghan towards the royal family. “Yesterday’s outing was not part of the London Bridge operation. It was Prince William’s idea, and Prince Harry agreed”, reports Dominic Waghorn, specialist in international affairs on “Sky News”. As a potentially explosive Royal Family autobiography of Harry was announced in the coming months, the death of Elizabeth II could lead him to review his plans.
