Prince William: This large sum of money that he will receive from his father, Charles III

It only took him a few hours after his accession to the throne to announce it officially : whether for his title of Duke of Cornwall or Prince of Wales, King Charles III left everything to his son, Prince William, his heir already Duke of Cambridge. No wonder, when you know how much this family loves legacies and continuity. But on closer inspection, we realize that it is actually a huge gift!

Indeed, the husband of Kate Middleton becomes thanks to him the largest landowner in the country, between the Duchy of Cambridge, that of Cornwall and Wales. A huge area that covers over 23 counties and is worth nearly £1.2 billion each yearof which 345 million come directly from Cornwall!

A huge number part of which is drawn directly from the pocket of his father, Charles III, for his beloved Highgrove mansion in Cornwall, not far from the private residence of new Queen Consort Camilla. A property he adores and in which he liked to spend his weekends when his sons were children with Lady Diana. And that he joins whenever things are difficult: after the funeral, this is where he went to relax in peace, far from the bustle of London.

An 18th century mansion that is very expensive : 700,000 euros in taxes per year, which he will have to pay to his son in income, just like all the inhabitants of his estate. Of course, not all taxes will go into the pocket of the future heir to the throne, but this one shouldn’t really have to worry anymore !

A beautiful gift that Prince William has already begun to assume: new Prince of Wales, a title reserved for the eldest son of the sovereign but somewhat disputed, he has already traveled to the province to meet the inhabitants there. Will he go so far as to learn Welsh, as Charles had done? We don’t know yet, but he should get involved in this new role. Just like Kate Middleton, of course: the young woman, who recovers the title after her mother-in-law Lady Diana, has already assured that she will take on this new role.
