Many of them made the trip: this Friday 25, in the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias, several members of European royal families attended the religious union between Prince Josef-Emanuel of Liechtenstein and Claudia Echevarria, a native of the country . The latter, nicknamed “Cloclo” is a recognized businesswoman, founder of a consulting firm in New York.
Radiant in her long wedding dress, she said yes before God to the one who descends from both the Luxembourg crown and that of Liechtenstein. Indeed, Josef-Emanuel is the youngest son of the union between Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, brother of the current Grand Duke, Hans Adam, and Marghareta of Luxembourg, younger sister of King Henry.
He had also made the trip for the wedding of his nephew. He was not accompanied by his wife, Maria Teresa, who does not support the plane. However, three of his five children had wanted to come to Colombia for their cousin: Felix and his wife Claire (without their two children), and the two youngest, Alexandra and Sébastien. Guillaume and Louis, for their part, had remained in Europe.
The three other brothers and sister of Margaretha de Luxembourg, Marie-Astrid, Jean and Guillaume were also present. On the side of the groom’s father, the Grand Duke was unfortunately unable to be present but was represented by his son Alois of Liechtenstein and Sophie, whom he recently married.
Among the other personalities of the European elite, we also found Maria-Laura of Belgium, niece of King Philippe and her fiancé William, as well as Jean-Christophe Napoléon and his wife Olympia. Of course, the close family of the groom had also made the trip: in addition to his parents, his two sisters Marie-Astrid and Maria Annunciata and their husbands were present. The latter two also celebrated their respective nuptials recently.
Indeed, Maria Annunciata was united in a civil union with the Italian Emanuele Musini in Gubbio in June 2021 before going to church on September 4 in Vienna. Her younger sister, Marie-Astrid, meanwhile married Raphael Worthington at the end of September in Tuscany.
