In an interview, Julie Laurin said that she was in her 16e day without power in the central community of North Wiltshire, located about 20 kilometers northwest of Charlottetown.

By 4:30 p.m. local time, Maritime Electric was reporting outages for more than 4,700 customers. This figure represents meters or accounts, which makes the total number of people without electricity much higher.
In addition, several people have recovered power over the past 48 hours and opened their doors to provide friends and neighbors with a place to take a hot shower, do laundry, cook a meal or simply enjoy a warm house.
