Prince Albert surely woke up a little tired this Sunday morning. The day before, Saturday October 1, the Sovereign of the Rock met several of his friends at the Hermitage hotel in Monte-Carlo for the evening Dreaming in Azur organized by the presidents of the Venetian Arts Foundation, Mr. and Mrs. Ghirelli. On the program, a Venetian atmosphere in the style of the city of the doges, a show organized under the leadership of artistic director Antonia Sautter, on the sidelines of a dinner concocted by chef Yannick Alléno, recently affected by the brutal death of his young son Antoine. Even the singer Mika was on hand to add even more atmosphere to this exceptional evening, in aid of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s ocean conservation initiatives.
No Caroline, Stephanie, Camille Gottlieb or Charlotte Casiraghi to accompany her, and even less Princess Charlene, who stayed in Paris where she enjoyed a few Fashion Week shows, Prince Albert was no less in good company. On the contrary ! In addition to businessmen and high society, the Sovereign surrounded himself with his team, including Lady Monika Bacardi, member of the Development Committee of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and of the Assembly of Les Amis du Musée Océanographique de Monaco, a cause dear to the heart of the Rock.
Prince Albert II of Monaco has never hidden his commitment to preserving the oceans. For several years, Charlène’s husband has multiplied initiatives and events to raise awareness among the population and the world about the important issues of protecting maritime life. Last June, he even invited Mélanie Laurent to Monaco to present Polar Mission, the name of the exhibition she presented at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. A battle he leads, near or far, with Charlène, the siren of his heart.
