On Wednesday July 6, Elisabeth Borne delivered her general policy speech before the National Assembly. The Prime Minister called on the opposition to make compromises and expressed her desire to form project majorities.

“In addressing you, I am speaking to France”these are the words of Elisabeth Borne during her speech on general policy, Wednesday, July 6, at the National Assembly. The Prime Minister recalled the urgency of acting for the country. During the speech, Elisabeth Borne addressed the group presidents of the opposition parties, omitting those of the National Rally and La France insoumise groups.

Among the notable announcements concerning future measures, the Prime Minister notably addressed the thorny subject of pensions, when boos rang out in the National Assembly. Elisabeth Borne said: “Our country needs a reform of its pension system, yes, we have to work gradually a little longer. Three major announcements took place during this speech: 8,500 magistrate posts should be created, the disabled adult allowance will be reformed and EDF will be renationalized. The opposition reacted vehemently, like Marine Le Pen.
