Doctors and the Cnam (National Health Insurance Fund) meet on Thursday May 16 and Friday May 17 for a final price negotiation session. Discussions were suspended at the beginning of April, due to a lack of proposals deemed sufficient by the unions, who were also unhappy with the funding allocated to private clinics for 2024.
Here are the main measures contained in the draft agreement that health insurance will propose to doctors on Thursday.
The emblematic measure is the consultation with the general practitioner which will increase to 30 euros. The date of this increase remains to be negotiated. Long consultations and those of children will be increased, up to 60 euros. This agreement proposes a new version of the “treating doctor” package, to reward those who follow patients over time and who meet public health objectives.
A group package is emerging: for at least 250 “attending doctor” patients shared within a healthcare home, for example. To encourage doctors to settle in medical deserts, the Cnam offers aid of 5,000 to 10,000 euros to newcomers, a flat rate of 1,000 euros per year for them to take emergency patients and a boost of inch of 5 euros per consultation to encourage them to take patients in the evening.
Finally, three of the most poorly paid specialties, pediatricians, psychiatrists and gynecologists, are upgraded: up to 60 euros per consultation with the pediatrician.
