(Toronto) The first Canadian restaurant of the British chain Pret A Manger opens its doors on Tuesday.
The British coffee chain with hundreds of branches around the world says the Toronto restaurant is located on Adelaide Street West, in the heart of the city’s financial district.
Its menu features a range of baked goods, salads, wraps, soups and sandwiches prepared daily on site.
Favorites such as their ham and cheese baguette, Mediterranean salad, croissants and organic coffee and tea will be offered.
A&W Food Services of Canada and Pret A Manger had reached an agreement in 2022 to bring the brand to Canada, initially through a pilot project with takeout items from the British chain sold in select A&W stores .
This new restaurant marks the next phase of Pret A Manger’s entry into the market and comes amid an international influx of fast food companies such as Shake Shack, Jimmy John’s and Jersey Mike’s who also plan to expand to the Canada this year.
