For her first official visit as the Republicans presidential candidate, Valérie Pécresse chose to go Monday, December 6 to Saint-Martin-Vésubie, in the Alpes-Maritimes, the village of Eric Ciotti, her former competitor. On site, at Nice airport, Julien Nény takes stock.
Officially, everything is going for the best in the best of all possible worlds between Éric Ciotti and Valérie Pécresse. The unfortunate candidate of the Congress of the Republicans came, in person, to welcome Valérie Pécresse as she left the plane at the end of the morning of Monday, December 6. “But behind the scenes it’s a little more complicated than that”, relates Julien Nény, journalist for France Televisions from Nice airport (Alpes-Maritimes).
If Éric Ciotti has renewed his support for the candidate elected by the right, “he asks him to form a tandem for the presidential election, like that between Nicolas Sarkozy and François Fillon in 2007”, specifies the journalist. Valérie Pécresse reserves her answer for the moment, “but said he wanted to keep a special place for Éric Ciotti”, concludes Julien Nény.
