This Sunday, April 10, in the Alpes-Maritimes, 778,661 voters are called to the polls.

In total, 981 polling stations are open within the 163 municipalities of the departments.

What are the opening hours?

In the Alpes-Maritimes, polling stations are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m..

In 34 municipalities in the department, it will be possible to vote until 8 p.m. : Antibes, Aspremont, Auribeau-sur-Siagne, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Cannes, Le Cannet, Cap-d’Ail, Carros, Chateauneuf-Villevieille, Colomars, Eze, Falicon, Grasse, Mandelieu- la-Napoule, Menton, Mouans-Sartoux, Mougins, Nice, Pégomas, Peille, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Roquefort-les-Pins, La Roquette-sur-Siagne, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, Saint-Jean -Cap-Ferrat, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Théoule-sur-Mer, La Trinité, Valbonne, Vallauris, Vence, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Villeneuve-Loubet.

Is there a dress code for voting?

No, but there is three prohibitions. The clothes must not contain any message of a political nature, respect good morals and not obstruct the control of the voter’s identity.

I am an agent. How to make the power of attorney?

If you received the proxy to vote for a person, your identity will be mentioned on the attendance list alongside that of your principal. You will therefore have to go to the polling station of the person who gave you his power of attorney and present only your identity document.

You will not be asked to present the voter card or identity document of the person you represent.

Can you vote without a voter’s card?

To be able to vote, you must be of legal age, of French nationality, in possession of all your civic and political rights and registered on the electoral list.

Once in the polling station, you can vote without your voter card. The only document you will be asked for is a ID. These include an identity card (valid or expired for less than 5 years), passport, driving license. But the vital card or the hunting license are also valid.

In a municipality of less than 1,000 inhabitants, this identity document is not compulsory. “But in case of doubt, the president of the polling station can ask the voter to prove his identity by any means“, indicates the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes on its website.

What are the sanitary measures?

No health pass or vaccination pass will be requested at the entrance to the polling station. The number of voters present in the same office is not limited, but measures are taken into account to avoid crossing too much promiscuity

It’s not an obligation. But the vote being secret, you must at least take two ballot papers before going to the voting booth. You can also come with the ballots that you received by mail with the professions of faith of the candidates (the latter are accessible in PDF and audio formats on this website).

In some municipalities, electronic voting is in place. This is particularly the case in Antibes.
