The outgoing Prime Minister and his Minister of Public Security, Geneviève Guilbault, take stock on Saturday noon at the government operations center in Quebec.
“All the roads are closed” in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, said Mr. Legault.
The outgoing Prime Minister plans to travel to the Islands on Monday, if the situation allows.
For the Magdalen Islands, the bad weather should end by this evening.
The Lower North Shore will also be affected later today. Big waves are expected.
After putting his campaign on hold for a few hours due to Hurricane Fiona, François Legault will resume his electoral tour on Saturday afternoon, after a press conference on the state of the situation in eastern Quebec.
The head of the CAQ will then take advantage of his presence in the National Capital to meet with Mayor Bruno Marchand.
