Prehistoric monsters at the Crocodile Farm in Pierrelatte

For this summer, the Crocodile Farm in Pierrelatte is innovating with three reproductions of life-size animals. The park inaugurates this Saturday its “River monsters”, a space dedicated to prehistory and is counting on this attraction to boost visits in this summer season. This is a spinausoraa 12-meter-long dinosaur that was present on Earth 90 million years ago, a titano boa which is the largest snake of which we have found a fossil trace and a prehistoric crocodile, sarcosuchus imperator. These reproductions are motionless and made of polyester and were made with the help of a paleontologist, for the sake of realism.

We are not a dinosaur park with animals trying to scare. We aim to mediate on biodiversity and living environments“, indicates Pierre Godlewski, the prime contractor of the project whose the space extends over more than 1,000 m². The establishment particularly targets families with children to be part of the pedagogy that it intends to promote. For this, the Crocodile Farm has invested €300,000 in this river of monsters.
