Tanner Jeannot hit the target twice and Juuse Saros made 34 saves for the Predators, who won a third straight game.

Ilya Sorokin stopped 20 pucks for the Islanders, who saw their two-game winning streak curtailed. Anthony Beauvillier and Oliver Wahlstrom got the ropes moving.

Beauvillier scored the first goal of the game in the opening period, on a power play.

Jeannot tied it at 6.54 of the second period, when his wrist shot defeated Sorokin’s vigilance.

The Islanders once again took advantage of a power play to take the lead, when Wahlstrom beat Saros on the tackle side, but Jeannot forced an overtime at 8:12 of the third period.
