The deputies and senators of the joint joint committee found a compromise on Wednesday March 15. The text of the pension reform which will be submitted to the vote of parliamentarians on Thursday endorses the 43 years of contributions for long careers, but with restrictive conditions.

In the Assembly for nearly eight hours, seven deputies and seven senators, meeting in a joint joint committee, worked behind closed doors on Wednesday March 15. They reached an agreement on the pension reform. Key points were adopted, angering the opposition. This is the case of article 7, on the postponement of the legal age of departure from 62 to 64 years. “There are a dozen people who have agreed to pass a reform against millions“, estimates Sandrine Rousseau deputy EELV-NUPES of Paris.

The senior CDI has been validated

Regarding long careers, those who worked four to five quarters before 16, 18, 20 and 21 years old will theoretically have to contribute 43 years to retire. Some, however, might work longer. The senior CDI has been validated. A new contract will see the light of day for people aged 60 and over, in experimentation for three years. Finally, women will benefit from a bonus of up to 5%, provided they have 43 years of contributions before age 64. The text provides for a review clause on the pension reform in 2027.
