Around 12:30 p.m., a call was made to 911 to report the presence of a seriously injured woman near the railway tracks, near Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Van Horne Avenue. The 30-year-old was first taken to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries, said Véronique Comtois, SPVM spokesperson.

“Some elements on the spot suggest the possible involvement of a train in the event,” said officer Comtois.

The scene was protected and collision investigators are still on the scene to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the event, said Véronique Comtois.
