The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating two suspicious deaths that occurred overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. According to the first information, it would be a case of domestic violence.

The Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac police were called on Wednesday around 11:45 p.m. in connection with two people injured in a residence on rue des Mélèzes.
Once there, they locate a woman in her thirties, lifeless. His body bore marks of violence, our sources confirm. A septuagenarian, also injured, was at his side. He was taken to hospital and there are no fears for his life.
Officers found a 42-year-old man unresponsive in his vehicle near the scene. His death was pronounced at the hospital.
The SQ took over to investigate these two suspicious deaths. The 70-year-old man who was in the home will be seen by investigators as soon as he is discharged from hospital.
Investigators of crimes against the person are on site to clarify the circumstances of this event.
Children were in the residence and were entrusted to the DPJ.
