Between the bars of buildings and the suburban pavilions, in Chevilly-Larue (Val-de-Marne) there is the office of Dr Chenay, 101 years old. With his 73-year-old son, Christian Chenay goes to see his practice one last time, which he resigns himself to closing, tired. He has also just suffered yet another burglary. For 70 years, he cared for, listening to his patients whose lives were often dented and those who could not find doctors in a city that had become a medical desert.

“He has all his mental capacities (…), he doesn’t even put on glasses“, remarked one of his patients in 2019. But Christian Chenay does not hang up and will work differently. An attitude that commands the admiration of his son, also a doctor, who retired at 65. Louis de Oliveira, 75, has been a patient of Christian for 50 years. He still comes home for consultations. Thus, Dr. Chenay continues his activity at home for his oldest patients.
