Thousands of the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square, Rome, to attend the traditional Easter Mass on Sunday April 9. Many French people had made the trip.

“Hurry to overcome conflicts and divisions”
The pope spoke extensively of the tensions and conflicts around the world, in a prayer for peace, particularly in Ukraine. “Let us hasten to overcome conflicts and divisions and to open the heart to those who need it most. Help the beloved Ukrainian people on the path to peace and spread Easter light on the Russian people“said Pope Francis.
