During his speech, on November 9, Emmanuel Macron spoke extensively about nuclear power, which he seems to have made a highlight of his very likely future campaign.
A few months before the presidential election of 2022, the President of the Republic, gave an address resembling a presidential campaign speech. In it, the latter largely evoked nuclear, an energy, on which the Head of State, seems to be counting a lot for the future. However, this bet is not unanimous in France and in particular in Polynesia where nearly 200 nuclear tests have taken place over thirty years.
Polynesian families are fighting to have their victim status recognized in the face of the nuclear tests that have hit their country. Jacqueline is a victim, after having contracted breast cancer and lung cancer, she is convinced that she has been infected. Twenty years after the last test carried out, Polynesians are still waiting for a strong response from politicians on this subject.
