Sébastien Chenu, deputy (National Rally) from the North and vice-president of the National Assembly, was the guest of “4 Truths” on France 2, Wednesday July 19.

Guest of “4 Vérités” on France 2, Wednesday July 19, Sébastien Chenu considered that the maintenance of Elisabeth Borne as Prime Minister is a “premium for failure and mediocrity”. “Ms. Borne is not able to find and expand majorities. Therefore, she is obviously not in her place” to the post of Prime Minister, continued the deputy National Rally (RN) of the North.

“A complete change of course”

According to the Vice-President of the National Assembly, “what the French want” in government, it is “a total change of course in the policy that is being carried out”. “The politics we know is more debt, more insecurity, more immigration, and the French are paying the bill, as we can see on electricity at the moment”he added.

The RN deputy was thus referring to the announcement by the government, the day before, of a 10% increase in electricity prices from August 1, as part of the gradual exit from the price shield. Sébastien Chenu took the opportunity to recall the RN’s proposal to exit the European electricity market. “Countries have chosen to exit, even temporarily, from this market. We had proposed it. Bruno Le Maire said he would study it, and then finally, the government bowed to the will of the Germans”he regretted.
