On Tuesday evening, officers from the City of Terrebonne Police Department had set up a security perimeter on Foucault Street around the house where a police operation had taken place a few hours earlier.

Few details have filtered so far on the reasons behind this intervention.

According to neighbors met on the spot, at least one vehicle from the Tactical Intervention Group was used, as were stun grenades.

“They shouted ‘you are under arrest’ and then after a few minutes they broke down the door. A woman came out with her hands in the air,” said a neighbor, Serge Landry.

The RCMP had still not returned calls from The Press at the end of the evening.
