The Roussillon Intermunicipal Police Board is currently carrying out an operation at La Magdeleine secondary school, in La Prairie, after receiving information mentioning the presence of a weapon in a locker.

This is the second time in two weeks that the police have intervened in this school. The establishment had been evacuated as a precaution four days ago following threats against the school received on social networks.
“The Grandes Seigneuries school service center has made the decision to close the school on October 4, 2022, so that the police department can take the necessary measures to continue the investigation,” explains the police force.
The secondary school of La Magdeleine had also been evacuated in June because of a threat which would be linked to a bomb threat.
