Highway 10 was completely closed to traffic on Sunday, in both directions, due to a “police operation” by the Sûreté du Québec, which asks motorists to avoid the area for the next few hours.
“A police operation is currently underway in the area of Highway 10, eastbound, at km 8 in Brossard. We ask motorists to avoid the area, ”said the Sûreté du Québec in a brief press release, early Sunday afternoon.
On Twitter, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD) also confirmed the complete closure via Quebec 511, also speaking of a “police security operation”.
No other details have been provided by the authorities on the nature of the operation.
