Police operation: an assault weapon and large quantities of drugs seized

An assault weapon was seized a few days ago by Laval police during a major drug and firearms trafficking operation.

About fifty police officers took part in the strike carried out last Tuesday.

The three searches carried out by the Laval authorities took place on Montreal soil.

The police were able to seize an assault weapon, a 9 mm pistol, a magazine and ammunition.

The police also seized large amounts of narcotics, including almost 10 kg of powder methamphetamine, more than 2 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 3.6 kg of MDMA (ecstasy) and almost 18 kg of a substance used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Four cell phones, two electronic scales, two pill presses and just over $10,000 in cash were also seized.

However, no arrests have been made in this case, at least for the moment.
