The budget of the ministries for 2023 begins to be revealed little by little, Monday August 8. The biggest increase will concern the police, justice and the armies, while Covid-related expenses should weigh much less in the balance.

The main lines of the state budget were unveiled by Bercy, Monday, August 8. Among the winners, the police, the armies and the justice system which obtain an increase of 6 billion euros. The energy transition is not to be outdone with an additional 3.3 billion euros allocated for the insulation of buildings and aid for the acquisition of electric cars. National education also sees its finances go up with the promise that each teacher will start his career with 2000 euros net per month.

The Ministry of the Economy and the expenses linked to the Covid will, for their part, fall. The deficit will reach 5% of the budget, without taking into account the possible aid to households during the 2023 financial year to respond to the rise in energy prices. The debt will further increase when it has already reached 114% of the national wealth.
