(Montreal) Two women are currently in critical condition after being shot in southwest Montreal, police report.


The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) is talking about a double attempted murder that occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday. A call was made to 911 around 2:40 a.m. for gunshots heard in the Pointe-Saint-Charles district.

When the police arrived, two women aged 73 and 22 were found in an apartment on rue Mullins, near rue Charlevoix.

“They were taken to a hospital in critical condition. We fear for their lives, ”said a spokesperson for the SPVM, agent Jean-Pierre Brabant.

A security perimeter has been erected in the area of ​​rue Mullins, which is currently closed to traffic between rue Charlevoix and rue d’Hibernia. The canine squad has been called in to search the area.

The investigation is continuing to clarify the circumstances. The police have not made any arrests so far.
