Point2 study | Cities on a human scale for Z

More and more young people from Generation Z will acquire their first property in the coming years. According to a new study carried out by Point2, they are likely to abandon large urban centers in favor of cities on a human scale.

The study analyzed different Canadian cities according to 35 parameters, such as affordable housing, cost of living, work-life balance, access to mental health services and financial security.

Eight of the 10 cities considered “ideal” for Zs have a population of less than 300,000 inhabitants. St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, ranks at the top of the list, followed by Quebec City and Lévis. Quebec dominates the top 10with 8 cities, including Montreal, the only major metropolis to appear there.
