Pogacar and Sagan will be Grand Prix cyclists of Quebec and Montreal

We know a little more about the set, which will compete for victory at the Grands Prix Cyclistes de Québec et Montréal (GPCQM), back in September after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thus, among the 147 riders who will start in Quebec City on September 9 and Montreal on September 11, there will be Tadej Pogacar, Peter Sagan, Gereint Thomas and Romain Bardet, who will join a very tough field.

Pogacar notably won the Tour de France in 2020 and 2021, in addition to finishing second in the last edition. Sagan is a three-time world champion, winner of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal in 2013 and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec in 2016 and 2017, Paris-Roubaix 2018 and the Tour of Flanders in 2016.

Thomas finished third in the 2022 Tour de France and second in 2019 after winning the 2018 Grande Boucle. He is Olympic pursuit champion at the 2008 and 2012 Games. having finished second in 2016 and third in 2017.

Obviously, Quebecer Hugo Houle, the first Quebecer to have won a stage of the Tour de France, will be there, as will his compatriots Guillaume Boivin and Antoine Duchesne.
