The rap group PNL came out of its silence on Friday December 8, 2023 at midnight to plead in favor of ” a day of peace” in Gaza, scene of the conflict between Israel and Hamas for two months, in his first single in four years. “I aim for a ceasefire, I draw a gift [une prière NDLR] / I can push the melodrama, I can do just that (…) Have you seen a corner of peace in Gaza?“, sings the duo composed of Ademo and his brother NOS, in this track available since Friday midnight on streaming platforms.

Peace, my brother, my sister, that’s the only subject (…) “My God, forgive them / My God, forgive us / Guide our steps, our hearts / This world is crazy (…) “A little water, of light, in this darkness / Sometimes we forget that we are made of the same flesh (…) Peace on Gaza”continue with a soaring flow of the two brothers, born to an Algerian mother and a Corsican father, their real names Tarik and Nabil Andrieu.

On Instagram, NOS clarified that “the funds will be donated to associations helping Palestine or elsewhere, aiming to help oppressed civilians around the world“.

“For the love of life”

For the love of life/In the name of humanity/God is great/A day of peace“, PNL wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter) Thursday evening, in a message viewed ten million times in twenty-four hours. “This conflict creates extreme suffering that hits us in the face and we cannot look away. Impossible, when it turns into genocide“, the group then wrote on Instagram, saying “aspire to respect for human rights and justice for every people and human in this world.

Extremely discreet, the two brothers from the city of Tarterêts, in Corbeil-Essonnes, have practiced minimal communication from the start, not expressing themselves in the media but communicating with their millions of fans via social networks. Which does not prevent phenomenal success since 2015. Their latest album, Dthem Brothers dates back to 2019.

At the end of October, NOS challenged President Macron on Instagram and denounced “theFrance’s inaction” in the face of the situation in Gaza.

Two deadly months of war

The war between Israel and Hamas, which entered its 63rd day on Friday, was triggered by a bloody and unprecedented attack perpetrated by the Palestinian Islamist movement on October 7 on Israeli soil from the Gaza Strip. According to Israel, 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were killed.

In retaliation, Israel vowed to “annihilate” Hamas, classified as a terrorist organization in particular by the United States, the EU and Israel. Its army is carrying out devastating bombings on the besieged Palestinian territory, alongside a vast ground operation launched on October 27. The Hamas Ministry of Health reported Friday that 17,487 people had died in Israeli bombings, more than 70% of them women and children and young people under the age of 18.

Palestinians in Gaza live in ” the utter horror”denounced the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, on Wednesday, emphasizing ” increased risk” only ” atrocity crimes” are committed, which are considered the most serious crimes (genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes).
