Interviewed jointly on TF1 and France 2, Emmanuel Macron discussed several subjects, notably the European elections which will take place on Sunday June 9, and Ukraine.

Among the subjects raised by Emmanuel Macron, France’s aid to Ukraine. The president first issued this reminder to Russia: “We do not want the escalation of the war, and in no case are we at war with Russia.” But on the eve of Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the Élysée, Emmanuel Macron insists on the need to strengthen the Kiev army: “We will launch a new cooperation and announce the sale of Mirage 2000-5.”

A few days before the European elections, Emmanuel Macron also launches an appeal to the French: “I call on our compatriots to go vote on June 9. Not going to vote means leaving the future of our continent and our country to others.” The president also attacks, without naming it, the National Rally: “We see the rise, everywhere in Europe, of the extreme right (…) If tomorrow France sends a very large delegation of the extreme right, if other major countries do so, Europe could find itself blocked. “
