Shots were fired from outside at an apartment building in the Plateau – Mont-Royal borough on the night of Monday to Tuesday.
Several calls were made to 911 around midnight, reporting gunshots on rue Villeneuve and avenue du Parc, according to Mariane Allaire Morin, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The police found casings on the spot, as well as bullet holes on the building.
None of the four residents were injured and no arrests have yet been made.
The scene was protected and SPVM investigators, as well as the canine unit, went on site to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
