Plastic surgeon Claude Lévêque indicted for rape of a minor

Plastic surgeon Claude Lévêque was indicted for rape and sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor and placed under judicial supervision, the Bobigny prosecution announced on Friday June 23. “Two victims are referred to in the qualifications retained, without excluding that there may be others who would declare themselves during the judicial investigation”said the prosecution.

The investigation was opened in the spring of 2019 and entrusted to the Territorial Security of Seine-Saint-Denis, where the artist resides. In a survey published the same year by The worldthe sculptor Laurent Foulon said he was raped by the artist from the age of 10 until he was 17, in the mid-1980s.

The artist had reported these actions in a letter addressed to the prosecutor of Bobigny in February 2019. Laurent Foulon also accuses the visual artist of having also raped his two brothers. One of them, who fell into drugs like him, died in 1998 at the age of 34 following yet another suicide attempt.
