Pollinators steal the show
Bees, monarchs and other pollinators will be featured at the Insectarium this weekend as part of the first edition of Butineries. During this new event for the whole family, young and old will be able to take part in the planting of a plot of the Jardin des pollinateurs or even help the insects in their work thanks to a participative sound installation. Workshops led by experts on various subjects, such as nectariferous plants or the greening of habitats, paper sculptures, themed face painting and story time are among the many free activities planned for this Saturday and Sunday.

There are great proposals this week at the Théâtre de la Verdure, in the heart of La Fontaine Park, in Montreal, in music, cinema and circus. With, among others, Rémy Girard, Julie Le Breton, Karelle Tremblay and France Castel. Also this Saturday, July 22, at 8:30 p.m., the Montreal Guitar Trio presents a tribute to the late composer Ennio Morricone, a true legend of film music. The Montreal Guitar Trio is formed by guitarists Sébastien Deshaies, Glenn Lévesque and Marc Morin.

This is the last chance, Thursday and Friday, to attend Ciné-Concerts, a free program of outdoor screenings combining cinema and musical performances. Organized by the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), the Cinémathèque québécoise and the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, the screenings are held on Place de la Paix in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles. The program offers an eclectic selection of experimental films from different eras, set to music by artists from the emerging scene. ” The Ciné-Concerts are a celebration of the union of cinema and music”, affirms Alexandre Auché, programming director of the SAT. “We are delighted to collaborate with the Cinémathèque québécoise and the Quartier des Spectacles to offer Montrealers this one-of-a-kind cultural experience. » Performances begin at 8:30 p.m. In case of rain, the screening will take place inside the SAT.

Second edition of the Salon des Artistes at Bonsecours Market

The second edition of the Salon des artistes takes place at Marché Bonsecours.
We meet this weekend at Bonsecours Market to admire the works of 70 Canadian artists. Organized by Galerie Lenoir, the Salon des artistes presents visual artists “with diverse backgrounds and styles” to satisfy all art lovers. The free event will be open to the public on July 21, 22 and 23.
