Plane crashes in Montérégie, seriously injuring two

Two men were seriously injured in the crash of an aircraft in Saint-Rémi, Montérégie, Friday evening. In its fall, the small plane struck two residences and a vehicle.


The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the area of ​​rue de l’Eglise, in Montérégie.

According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), a small aircraft crashed, first hitting a first residence. He would then have hooked electrical wires before hitting a parked vehicle, then a second residence.

On board were two men in their thirties. They were seriously injured in the crash and taken to hospital, between life and death.

The circumstances that led to the fall of the aircraft were not immediately known, said Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for SQ.

The occupants of the two houses affected escaped unscathed, said Mr.me Bernard. Police officers from the SQ’s Major Crimes Investigation Division will lead the investigation in collaboration with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
