Initially, Eric Lavaine wanted to make a film that would take place in Brittany with a group of friends who would meet during the holidays. In the program ? Barbecue, deckchair, swimming pool… But capricious weather would force them to take refuge in the tower shelter throughout their stay. A kind of confinement between friends of 30 years.
After he started working on the project, he realized with his co-author, Hector Cabello Reyesthat it would be more effective and tasty to take over the group of friends from “Barbecue”. In addition to the pleasure of reuniting with this band of “cinema friends”, it made it possible to get straight into their problem without having to describe them at length.
“Plancha” are therefore the same characters, 7 years later. And this year they came together to celebrate 50 years of Yves. It was supposed to be in Greece but it will finally be in Yves’ family mansion in Brittany: old stones, fascinating moorland, fine sandy beaches and frenzied fest-noz, everything is there but in the rain. This stormy weather will put the nerves of the group of friends to the test. And above all, Yves’ birthday will be an opportunity to unexpected revelations…
